BF Picks Up 2 Firsts At Fairhaven Duals

Today three high school members of the Rockingham Area Wrestling club traveled to Fair Haven to compete.

Lucas Saunders of Compass School continued his early season domination, winning all five of his matches with first period pins. The junior has improved his season record to 8-0 with 6 pins and 2 tech-falls.

DJ Snide suffered his first loss on the season as he fell to a very solid wrestler from Ausable Valley, NY. However the BFUHS senior would put the early setback behind him and storm back and pin his next three opponents, from Fair Haven, Milton, and Mt. Greylock Mass, all in the first period. Snide now sits at 8-1 on the young season.

Fellow BFUHS senior Jake Lober would dispatch his three opponents quickly after the handshake, picking up three first period pins of his own. Lober now sits at 8-0 to start his senior campaign.

All 3 wrestlers will be in action again next Saturday, January 7th at the David Minickielo Tournament in Keene, NH. With wrestlers from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts the competition level is sure to be solid and will provide a tough early season test.
