Castleton Takes Third At Ted Reese Invitational

Castleton University fared well this past weekend taking third at the Ted Reese Invitational at the University of Southern Maine. Despite losing Vermont wrestlers Troy Gassaway and Jake Woodside who dropped out of the program and   Zach Allen out with a knee injury, Castleton grabbed a ‘Show” behind an extremely strong Coast Guard team and a talented USM host. The final match of the tournament was all Jesse Webb as Castleton’s Big Man did it again, electrifying the crowd with an overtime win against USM’s  Mike Risti.

The highlight of the tournament for me had to be all of the Vermont faces present. Coaches, asst. coaches, wrestlers and even a referee, Vermont populated the room giving us quite a presence. Look through the photos and try to find some familiar faces.
